Low Back Pain

Low back pain is one of the most common complaints we see in the office.  Chiropractic and physical therapy work hand-in-hand to address multiple aspects to get to the source of the pain.   Making sure the low back, hips and pelvis are aligned and properly moving along with addressing muscle imbalance and dysfunctional movement patterns help get you better faster and can provide lasting relief.   Some research suggested people with low back pain got better relief from going to a chiropractor than from going to their family doctor.

Neck Pain

We treat neck pain with chiropractic adjustments, muscle release and postural exercises to the neck and upper back.   You may want to try a us if you have had neck pain for a long time that is not due to an injury. This type of neck pain typically responds very well to treatment.

Tension Headaches

Chiropractic adjustments and physical therapy for your neck may help if you have tension headaches. These are a common type of headache that causes pain in the back of your head and neck. Stress and bad posture can cause tension headaches.  Your treatment may also include advise on healthy ways to reduce stress to reduce your headaches, including proper posture and body mechanics.

Migraine Headaches

Research has shown that chiropractic care can decrease migraine frequency, decrease pain, and reduce the need for migraine medication. Combining chiropractic with physical therapy and massage therapy is a powerful combination to combat these types of headaches.  Triggers for migraine headaches may include certain foods.  We can also give you advice on nutrition and some changes in your diet to help reduce or prevent migraines and other types of headaches.

Whiplash

Whiplash is a type of neck sprain that often results from a car accident. Whiplash causes pain and stiffness in your neck. Pain may be worse when you try to turn your head. You may even feel dizzy or sick to your stomach. Physical therapy and chiropractic area a great combo to treat accident related injuries including whiplash.  Dr. Allison specializes in the treatment of post concussion issues including vertigo.

Sacroiliac Pain

Your sacroiliac (SI) joint is a big joint at the bottom of your spine. SI joint problems cause a different type of low back pain. You may feel this pain in your buttock or the back of your thigh. Balancing the hips and pelvis and strengthening the lower back and core helps to improve posture and reduce stress in the SI joints effectively reducing pain.

Shoulder Pain

You probably think about back and neck pain when you think about chiropractic care. However, a did you know we can also help you if you have a stiff and painful shoulder. One of these conditions is called frozen shoulder syndrome. People with frozen shoulder may have less pain and more movement after chiropractic care. Dr Allison performs a technique called Active Release Technique.  This is extremely effective in improving overall mobility in the shoulders and reducing pain.

Knee Pain

Most often, wear and tear on the knee joint causes knee osteoarthritis. This is a very common condition. We can help. We can assess and adjust hips, knees, ankles and feet to help normalize walking posture to reduce stress on the knees. This type of treatment often works better than knee exercises alone.
